Last updated: February 2026

Introduction

UXSalon ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled securely and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, and protect information through the Zomra platform ("Platform"), which operates as a marketplace for live cohort-based courses created and delivered by independent instructors.

By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

Instructor Data: When instructors register and create courses on the Platform, we collect information including their name, email address, phone number, contact details, profile information, qualifications, and payment details (bank account or payment processor information) necessary for the disbursement of funds.

Student Data: Students who enroll in courses provide information such as their name, email address, phone number, and any other details necessary for enrollment and participation in courses.

Course Data: Data generated through course participation, including attendance records, session delivery status, engagement metrics, submissions, assignments, feedback, instructor delivery patterns, and content interaction data.

Payment Data: UXSalon uses Fawry and other authorized third-party payment processors to handle all payments. These processors are responsible for collecting and processing payment information. UXSalon does not directly store payment card details.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, session duration, feature usage patterns, content interaction data, navigation paths, and referring URLs.

Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, analyze Platform usage, and improve service delivery. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though some Platform features may not function properly without cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

UXSalon uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

Service Delivery and Operations

Managing course creation, enrollment, scheduling, session delivery tracking, and facilitating interactions between students and instructors. This includes processing and analyzing course content, instructional materials, and engagement data as part of the Platform's core operations to ensure quality, relevance, and a functioning marketplace.

Platform Intelligence and Personalization

UXSalon employs advanced automated technologies — including content analysis systems, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, and learning optimization tools — to personalize the user experience, surface relevant course recommendations, analyze content quality, optimize scheduling, generate instructor performance insights, identify learning patterns, and continuously improve Platform functionality. These technologies process user data, course content, interaction patterns, and engagement signals as an inherent and inseparable part of how the Platform operates and delivers value. This processing is not a supplementary feature but a foundational element of the Platform's service architecture.

Student Progress and Learning Outcomes

Instructors have access to data relevant to students enrolled in their specific courses to monitor attendance, assess progress, and provide feedback. UXSalon also uses aggregate and individual learning data to improve course quality assurance and learning outcomes across the Platform.

Payments and Payouts

We collect payment details from instructors for the purpose of disbursing funds according to the applicable payout schedule. Student payments are processed by authorized third-party payment processors.

Refund Processing

Student enrollment and session attendance data is used to determine refund eligibility in accordance with the refund provisions set forth in the Terms and Conditions.

Platform Improvement and Development

We use usage data, interaction data, content data, and feedback to improve Platform functionality, develop new features, ensure secure access, fix technical issues, train and improve our automated systems, and enhance the overall user experience. This includes using aggregated and anonymized data for research, benchmarking, and developing new technologies and services.

Communications

We use your contact information to send transactional notifications (enrollment confirmations, session reminders, payout notifications, refund confirmations) and, where applicable, marketing communications about the Platform and its services.

Safety and Compliance

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Instructor Access to Student Data

Instructors on the Platform are granted access only to data relevant to their specific courses, which includes student names, attendance records, progress, submissions, and data generated from participation in their courses. Instructors do not have access to student data from courses they are not involved in. Instructors are required to use this data solely for educational purposes and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Processing as Core Platform Functionality

The Platform's value as a learning marketplace depends on its ability to process, analyze, and derive insights from the data generated through Platform usage. This processing — which includes content analysis, pattern recognition, quality scoring, recommendation generation, and learning analytics — is integral to the Platform's operation and is not a separate or optional service.

By using the Platform, all users acknowledge and agree that their data (including content created, interactions, engagement metrics, and feedback) will be processed by the Platform's technology systems as a fundamental part of service delivery. This processing enables the Platform to function as designed and to continuously improve the quality and relevance of the learning experience for all users.

Instructors further acknowledge that their course materials, delivery methods, engagement data, and associated metrics are processed by the Platform's systems to provide performance analytics, content optimization insights, and marketplace quality assurance.

5. Data Sharing

UXSalon does not sell personal information to third parties. We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • Legal obligations: To comply with applicable Egyptian laws and regulations, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of UXSalon, our users, or the public.
  • Service providers: With third-party service providers that help us operate the Platform (e.g., payment processors, hosting providers, analytics services, technology infrastructure providers). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Technology partners: With technology partners who provide systems and infrastructure that power Platform features described in Section 2, subject to appropriate data protection agreements.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any material change in data handling.
  • With your consent: Where you have given explicit consent for a specific sharing purpose.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular security assessments, and secure processing of all payment transactions through PCI-compliant third-party processors.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

UXSalon retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

  • Account data: Retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after account deletion to comply with legal obligations and resolve any outstanding matters.
  • Course data: Retained for the duration of the course and a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, dispute resolution, and ongoing Platform improvement purposes as described in this policy.
  • Payment data: Retained as required by applicable Egyptian tax and financial regulations.
  • Usage and interaction data: Retained in aggregated or anonymized form for analytics, research, and Platform development purposes.
  • Processed and derived data: Insights, models, and analytics derived from user data may be retained indefinitely in anonymized or aggregated form as part of the Platform's technology systems and intellectual property.

You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at info@zomra.io. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law, subject to any legal retention requirements and the continued use of anonymized or aggregated data as described above.

8. International Data Transfers

The Platform is operated from Egypt and may utilize infrastructure and service providers located in other jurisdictions. If your data is transferred outside of Egypt, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions where UXSalon or its service providers operate.

9. Children's Privacy

UXSalon does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at info@zomra.io.

10. Your Rights

Users have the right to:

  • Access their personal information held by UXSalon.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Delete their personal data, subject to legal retention requirements and the provisions of Section 7 regarding anonymized and derived data.
  • Data portability — request a copy of their personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting us directly.

Please note that requests for deletion or restriction of processing may affect your ability to use certain Platform features, as the data processing described in Sections 2 and 4 is integral to service delivery.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@zomra.io. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

UXSalon may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
