The project in this program is coming from a real case study provided by Tremoloo.

About Tremoloo

Tremoloo is a design studio that specializes in creating innovative experiences. We believes that the return on investment (ROI) of exceptional design compared to merely adequate design can be as high as a 10x multiplier.

Since late 2016, we’ve served different clients both local and global startups to design amazing products and services that are simple, beautiful and easy to use.

No lectures. Just real work. Grow your Research & Design muscles.

Muscles don’t grow by reading about workouts, they grow under pressure. That’s exactly how this program works.

You’ve learned the frameworks, but applying them at work feels challenging.

You’ve studied the methods, but can’t connect the dots.

Stakeholders don’t want theory — they want impact.

In this program, you’ll work on a real project brief with tight timelines, conflicting perspectives, and incomplete data.

You’ll practice in a safe space, get peer and mentor feedback, and walk away with a portfolio-ready case in just 15 days.

The Problem

Most product designers and UX researchers learn about research and design in ideal conditions where processes are linear, briefs are simple, and data is always perfect.

But the real world? It’s messy.

  • You’re taught a perfect process, but real projects are full of trade-offs, shortcuts, and compromises.
  • You practice on simple challenges, but in reality, you face complex problems, conflicting goals, and incomplete data.
  • You study all the theory, but once you’re on the job, you’re expected to figure it out on your own, often by failing first.

That’s the gap this program bridges.

Here, you’ll face realistic, high-pressure challenges that force you to make tough decisions—some right, some wrong—and learn through doing, reflection, and feedback.

The Solution

In this program, you’ll practice making the kinds of decisions that separate good researchers & designers from great ones:

  • How do you handle problems and challenges that arise when working on real world projects?
  • Which research methods give the most value when time and resources are tight?
  • What data matters most and how can you gather it quickly?
  • Which ideas should you kill and which are worth pursuing?
  • How do you present your work so stakeholders listen and take action?

What the Training Is Like?

1. Work on a real-world challenge

You’ll take on an actual brief from Tremoloo, a leading digital agency.

In this round, you’ll be working on Autopay — a startup transforming the car financing experience. Their goal? To help customers apply for car finance, verify their identity, get instant credit approval, and manage payments fully digital.

Autopay has 4 main objectices from this project:

  1. Simplify every step of the financing process.
  2. Build user trust during document submission and verification.
  3. Design a unified experience across mobile for customers.
  4. Support full bilingual (Arabic/English) UX with RTL compliance.

* A detailed “Functional Requirements” will be shared on the 1st live session.

2. Practice first, then get mentored

This isn’t a course — there are no lectures, no slides, and no theory.

You’ll start working on the case from day one. You’ll get the context, data, and stakeholder perspectives upfront, then it’s on you to analyze, research, decide, and create.

Throughout the sprint, you’ll join three live group mentorship sessions designed to help you refine your work, get feedback, and learn by doing.

You face the challenge first, make your decisions, and then get the guidance — just like real life.

In these three sessions:

    1. The instructor will answer students’ questions.
    2. They will address challenges students are facing.
    3. The instructor will provide live, real-time feedback.
    4. Challenging topics will be explained and clarified.
    5. Additional resources will be shared to support students’ progress.

3. Present your case and get evaluated

At the end of the program, you’ll present your proposal and walk through your thinking. You’ll receive a comprehensive evaluation covering your problem framing, evidence quality, creativity, and storytelling.

It’s not just a grade — it’s a detailed assessment of how you think, decide, and communicate as a designer or researcher.

Each student will be evaluated individually using a combination of quantitative metrics and qualitative assessments.

What You’ll Learn Through Practicing?

You’ll build real knowledge and hands-on skills across five key areas:

1. Research & Discovery

Learn to uncover insights that matter — from desk research and stakeholder interviews to qualitative and quantitative research.

2. Analysis & Synthesis

Practice turning messy data into clarity: benchmark competitors, analyze findings, triangulate insights, and build personas, journeys, and Jobs to Be Done frameworks that actually guide decisions.

3. Ideation & Design

Translate insights into solutions. You’ll write actionable recommendations, develop design concepts, and prototype ideas that connect user needs with business goals.

4. Prioritization & Decision-Making

Learn how to evaluate and prioritize opportunities, balance trade-offs, and focus on what drives the most impact.

5. Communication & Storytelling

Sharpen your ability to present with influence — crafting stories that align stakeholders, clearly explain your reasoning, and bring your recommendations to life.

Who This Is For

1. UX Researchers

You want to get better at making research decisions when things are unclear, timelines are tight, and data isn’t perfect.

2. Product Designers

You’re looking to connect the dots between insights, design, and business goals — and make confident calls under pressure.

3. Product Managers

You want to sharpen your instincts on what to test, what to prioritize, and how to turn research into smart product moves.
